Hamilton County Implements Odyssey

It has taken a lot of team work to have Hamilton County begin to use Odyssey this past Monday.  Everyone has played an important role in contributing to that effort.  Few people would guess at the number of hours and the work that takes place behind the scenes such as gathering business practices, data mapping, system configuration, data conversion and training.  As soon as Clerk Beaver closed her books on Thursday afternoon, the data conversion team went right to work.  It took approximately 14 hours to load all the data into Odyssey.  Once that process was complete, the configuration team began to review the data to make sure that the data was accurate.  All outstanding checks were manually entered into Odyssey and then the trust account was balanced.

Clerk Beaver and some of her staff came to work on Sunday afternoon to review the data and set up the tills or cashier stations so she could be ready for business Monday morning.  Thanks to all JTAC and Hamilton County staff for bringing the fifth largest county onto Odyssey.  It has truly been a team effort!
