In 2005, the Indiana Supreme Court approved the first statewide list of potential jurors for Indiana trial courts. This marks the sixth year the list is provided to counties at no cost, and the fourth year it is available electronically through JTAC’s INcite web portal. In the three weeks since the 2011 Master Jury List was released, 36 counties have accessed or downloaded their jury data.
In order to save time and money and in an effort to become more efficient, 58 counties are using JTAC’s jury management system (JMS), which is also available for free through the INcite portal. Rather than exporting the entire list and downloading it to a local computer, then importing it into a separate jury management system before a jury pool can be drawn, counties that use the INcite JMS simply create their jury pool(s) directly within INcite.
