JTAC Trains Additional Agencies to Use Electronic Traffic Ticket Software

By end-of-year 2010, JTAC reached its goal to have over 200 Law Enforcement Agencies throughout the state trained to use its electronic Citation and Warning System (eCWS).  Today, the total number of agencies trained or using eCWS stands at 206.

In the last two weeks training was conducted for Hartford City Police Department (Blackford County), Bourbon Police Department (Marshall County), Marian University Police Department (Marion County), and Remington Police Department (Jasper County).

As we grow the number of eCWS law enforcement agencies, more tickets can be electronically filed to various court case management systems throughout Indiana.  As of January 10, 2011, the total number of e-tickets that have been electronically filed to all courts that have an interface with eCWS is 334,962.  This represents tremendous cost savings and data entry man-hours for courts, clerks and law enforcement agencies.
