Two Courts Begin the Month of May Using Odyssey

On May 1st, 2012, Beech Grove City and Lawrenceburg City implemented the Odyssey case management system for their courts.

In Beech Grove, Judge Andrew Wells and Clerk Cindy Johnson have been instrumental in implementing Odyssey in another court in Marion County.  Beech Grove Police Department, under the leadership of Chief Mark Swartz and Deputy Chief Michael Maurice, went live with JTAC’s electronic Citation and Warning System (eCWS) on April 27th .  Through this coordination, tickets ‘written’ with the software can be electronically filed in Odyssey, saving countless data entry hours for the court.  In conjunction with the deployment of Odyssey, Beech Grove City Court is also offering the Odyssey on-line payment system provided by JTAC.

In Lawrenceburg, JTAC completed Odyssey training two weeks ago and the court began processing cases in Odyssey on May 1st.  The first case for Lawrenceburg City Court was ‘e-filed’ in Odyssey and did not require any data entry by the court!  The traffic ticket was written by a Lawrenceburg City police officer using JTAC’s eCWS software and then it was electronically filed with the court.  In the coming months, Lawrenceburg plans to implement the on-line ticket payment system.
