The Tipton County Probation Department began using Odyssey Supervision on December 2nd, becoming the 9th agency to implement the application. The probation staff was extremely supportive and instrumental in changing a few business practices for processing juvenile cases, which also involved collaboration between the clerk’s office and prosecutor’s office. The new approach has created a streamlined process for all juvenile cases and has been well received.
Floyd County Professional Services Office Becomes First Court Alcohol and Drug Program To Use Odyssey Supervision
In August of this year, JTAC collaborated with Daraius Randelia, Director of the Floyd County Professional Services Office, and his staff to modify the configuration of Odyssey Supervision to meet the needs of court alcohol and drug programs in Indiana. During the last week of August, initial training was provided to the Floyd County Professional Services staff; however, new enhancements within Odyssey Supervision were made available in September of this year, which required further assistance and training. In addition to the standard case management features of Odyssey Supervision, the most recent enhancements allow users to create class schedules for their Court Alcohol and Drug Program, assign clients to a scheduled class event, and monitor clients’ attendance. To date, the Floyd County Professional Services Office has added 696 cases to Odyssey Supervision and has generated 346 service contracts for new program referrals from the application.
Over the past three months JTAC has worked with the three Floyd County probation departments to deploy the Odyssey Supervision product center.

They will begin utilizing the financial component of Odyssey Supervision on September 1, 2010.
On June 1, 2010, Warren County became the second county in Indiana to begin using the Odyssey Supervision Product Center for Probation. JTAC would like to thank Judge John Rader and the Probation staff for their willingness to help pilot this initiative! By working side-by-side with Judge Rader, Chief Probation Officer Stacy Miley and Probation Secretary Kathy Jordan, training was completed over a four-day period and culminated in the successful deployment of the software. During the next few weeks over 250 adult and juvenile cases will be entered into Odyssey Supervision by the Warren County Probation Department.
JTAC is also working with the Harrison County Adult Probation Department and the DeKalb County Probation Department to deploy Odyssey Supervision in those counties.
